In using iFSC, the user can communicate and operate a 130 Recorder in the field to provide full station control during portable or permanent seismic station deployments.

The iFSC application can be downloaded from the App Store.

The new REF TEK WiFi Serial Adaptor, which connects the iOS device to the 130 Recorder, is an alternative to the current iFSC Cable. Either the WiFi Serial Adaptor or iFSC-Cable are necessary for command/control functionality of the app and for downloading information from the 130 Recorder to the hand held iFSC Controller.

Trimble Kestrel System SG160-09 https://www.geovision.co.bw/product/trimble-kestrel-system-sg160-09/ Wed, 07 Jun 2023 01:30:13 +0000 https://www.geovision.co.bw/?post_type=product&p=989 In an instrument category all it’s own the Trimble Kestrel seismogeodetic system integrates a high-sample rate strong motion accelerograph with Trimble’s latest GNSS reference receiver technology in a single instrument, delivering quality data and reducing installation time.

The low-power, 336-channel GNSS receiver powered by the latest Trimble Maxwell™ 7 Technology, supports tracking of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS signals, ensuring the GNSS data is robust and reliable. And, featuring an Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) Class A force-balance triaxial accelerometer, Kestrel delivers better data at even the quietest sites at 200 Hz and transmits ultra-low latency data for Earthquake Early Warning (EEW).

Using an advanced Kalman filter algorithm Trimble’s 4D Control software combines, 10 Hz GNSS displacements and 200 Hz accelerometer data to produce 200 Hz displacement data in near real-time, eliminating the loss of static offsets that occur when double-integrating accelerometer data.

Kestrel now incorporates on-board GNSS Precise Point Positioning (PPP) using Trimble CenterPoint™ RTX™ technology delivered through the L-Band signal. Trimble RTX remains locked onto the real-world absolute position, which is critical when analyzing and responding to movement data. These features ensure Kestrel’s data recording is not affected during communication delays or complete outages (often occurring during natural disasters), resulting in more complete data ‒ when it matters.

Key Features

  • Combines Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and seismic accelerometer measurements
  • 336 Channel GNSS receiver features Trimble’s latest Maxwell 7 technology and Precise Point Positioning (PPP) technology, delivering centimeter level accuracy over L-band or IP using Trimble’s Centerpoint RTX corrections
  • Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) Class A Triaxial Accelerometer
  • Ultra -Low latency data transmission for EEW

Applications

With an IP67 rating, the compact and rugged Trimble Kestrel seismogeodetic system is ideal for deployment in extreme environments including:

  • Monitoring civil structures
  • Monitoring earthen structures
  • Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) Networks
  • Volcano monitoring
  • Seismic Hazard Mitigation

REF TEK 130-MC https://www.geovision.co.bw/product/ref-tek-130-mc/ Wed, 07 Jun 2023 01:19:18 +0000 https://www.geovision.co.bw/?post_type=product&p=976 The 130-MC contains REF TEK’s third generation digital recording technology, it’s a robust multi-channel recorder designed for civil engineering and structural monitoring requirements. Built-in communication capabilities allow for real-time and on-demand data collection.

The multi-channel recorder is available as a twelve channel or eighteen channel recording system with advanced telemetry for real-time data collection on all channels.

The 130-MC’s network capabilities allow multiple units be interconnected for more complete coverage of movement in a building or on a structure such as a bridge or a dam.

In the case of a power outage, the 130-MC recorder will continue data acquisition, running on four internal 12 V DC batteries for 72 hours. If power is unavailable for more than 72 hours the system shuts down, then, when AC power begins again the 130-MC recorder will resume its previous data acquisition mode and begin re-charging the batteries automatically.

Using REF TEK’s Interface Software (RTI) with a local or remote PC, the user can set all data recording parameters including continuous or triggered data streams, independent channel selection, sampling rate, and trigger settings with independent trigger thresholds on a per channel basis, external alarm settings, and automatic notification settings for state-of-health messages and recorded events.

The user can access the multi-channel flash memory cards to retrieve any recorded event files and state-of-health files, or upload firmware updates and preset parameter files. Updating the system firmware can be completed with a simple file upload and reset of the recorder.

For data analysis the REF TEK Strong Motion Data Processing software (Compass) can calculate and display functions such as CAV, Raw and Corrected Acceleration, Arias Intensity, Velocity, Displacement, Response Spectra, PSDs, and FFTs.
